Kolor was founded in 2010 by Tatjana and Uli in Prenzlauer Berg, Berlin. They chose the name Kolor because it means diversity and variety that best describes their work which ranges from micro to macro, across a mix of mediums including paper, interior products and architectural projects utilising their studies in architecture, urban studies and interior design.
Most of their ideas focus on optimising products that already exist, things they like but which require improvement in form or function, to design and develop everyday objects. Their design principles are to create products that are functional at their core and are simple and durable. Their products are made in Germany and where possible made in their local area.
